Individual psychotherapy provides a space to explore one's personality, relationships, emotions, mental health symptoms, and identity development in a safe and supportive environment. My patients come to therapy with a variety of goals: to relieve distressing symptoms, to understand themselves or their relationships better, to gain insight into things that block progress, and to learn new strategies for solving problems.
The type of therapy I provide is highly individualized and focused on the specific needs of each patient. I draw from several theoretical models, most notably psychodynamic psychotherapy and feminist psychotherapy. Please read more about these models in the "About Psychotherapy" section of this website. I believe in respectful and dignified treatment for all individuals seeking services. My goal is to build a therapeutic relationship that promotes trust, honesty, and empowerment that ultimately helps my patients achieve greater personal satisfaction.
